Just thought about… a thought!

All I want is to scribble, scribble the random thought that comes to my mind. These thoughts vary time-to-time, but the thoughts crave to have a form – it needs a structure to express. And I have found a better medium to express it. These are my poems.

I don’t consider the technicalities of poems when I want to assemble my thoughts. This include rhyme, rhythm, the flow and even grammar ( I know, the Shakespeareans would abandon me for making a mockery of the language) I believe, when you first sit down to write a poem never consider these points, you will end in a total mess. Let the thoughts flow free; don’t restrict the flow by giving importance to other factors( as earlier mentioned above).

Poem doesn’t necessarily mean to have a rhyme or a rhythm to it. A simple two verse can render a story – a meaning to your thoughts. No doubt, the rhyming words too add value to your poem. I feel, they are like jewellery. A woman when decked up with her jewellery looks classy and attractive. In the same manner, when you add rhyming words and rhythm to the poem it gives pleasure to its readers. It is easy to identify the poet’s emotion.

There were times when I pressed hard on other factors, alas my thoughts. The results: I deviated from my original thoughts. Talk of puns, ‘it was like having an affair with one and eloping with another.’

But this has never hampered my thoughts to progress. In fact I have improvised my style, developed a more matured writing and of course …. am conscious with my grammar then I ever was. There has been a slow progression but it was worth a try. I can see the difference.

Now, I am hooked to another medium which is blog. Though these days, the trend is for Tweet. But I am exploring blog. But it is fun….blog for more creativity.. more space to express.. Writing gives me pleasure — in any form whether poem or just penning down my random thoughts.
